透過課程的各個單元，對社會個案工作有概括性的瞭解。本學期課程特別著重於個案工作的流程，期望同學能學習一個個案完整的處理過程。
本學期課程包括:個案工作定義、個案工作知識基礎、個案工作專業倫理、接案、收集資料、預估、干預、訪視、資源轉介、安置及家庭圖繪製等內容。
本課程是採20人為一組之小班制教學，藉由多樣化之課程設計，強調密集之演練與討論以協助學生進行初次之理念與技巧之整合。內容包含有發展同學自我覺知的能力，培養敏銳的觀察力，及練習基本助人技巧。藉由影片分析及相關議題之討論，了解服務對象的困境與心理歷程，並增進對社會現象之了解與關懷。安排機構參觀幫助同學對社會福利機構與社會工作實務有初步接觸與認識。並協助學生為實習二進入機構實習做準備。

課程將分前後兩學期，前一學期側重（一）個別會談助人技巧演練與討論、機構參訪了解實務現場；後一學期則著重（二）團體會談助人技巧演練與討論、實習領域文本研讀。

Through each unit of the course, you will gain a general understanding of social case work. This semester's course focuses particularly on the process of case work, and students are expected to learn the complete handling process of a case.
Courses in this semester include: casework definition, casework knowledge base, casework professional ethics, case acceptance, data collection, estimation, intervention, visit, resource referral, placement and family diagram drawing, etc.
This course is taught in a small class of 20 people. Through diversified course design, it emphasizes intensive practice and discussion to help students integrate concepts and skills for the first time. The content includes developing students' self-awareness, cultivating keen observation skills, and practicing basic helping skills. Through video analysis and discussion of related issues, we can understand the plight and psychological process of service recipients and enhance our understanding and care for social phenomena. Arrange institutional visits to help students gain initial contact and understanding of social welfare institutions and social work practices. And assist students in preparing for internship in the organization during internship two. The course will be divided into two semesters. The first semester focuses on (1) practice and discussion of individual interviewing and helping skills, and institutional visits to learn about practical sites; the latter semester focuses on (2) practice and discussion of group interviewing and helping skills, and the study of texts in the field of internship.
