本課程關注於政治與經濟因素之間的交互作用，是如何影響國家的出現、政策的制定、政體的變遷、經濟發展、福利政策、收入不平等與重分配、國際衝突、內戰等等。期末也將會介紹國際政治經濟學(IPE)相關概念
學期初期會先著重於政治學研究方法上的介紹，爾後再進入各大主題，希望同學在修習這門課程之後，能夠對政治經濟學有更全面性的了解，並且能對現實政策發展批判性的觀點。

This course focuses on how the interaction between political and economic factors affects the emergence of states, policy formulation, changes in political regimes, economic development, welfare policies, income inequality and redistribution, international conflicts, civil wars, etc. At the end of the semester, concepts related to International Political Economy (IPE) will also be introduced.
At the beginning of the semester, we will focus on the introduction of political science research methods, and then move on to major topics. We hope that after taking this course, students will have a more comprehensive understanding of political economics and develop critical perspectives on real-life policies.
