民法總則為民法之基礎，本課程之目標，在建立民事法律關係之基本觀念，並介紹民法總則的規定與適用。The General Civil Law is the foundation of civil law. The goal of this course is to establish basic concepts for civil legal relations, and to introduce the regulations and application of the General Civil Law.
總則編為民法之基礎，本課程說明我國民法總則編之原理原則，注重培養對我國法制的瞭解，從學理與實務上學習民法之運用方法。期能使同學熟悉民法總則的基本概念與思維方式，以奠定未來民法其他各編之基礎。
