本課程為研究所創作課程,旨在探討當代新媒體社會中廣泛的影像形式,引導創作者將影像視為一種跨越多元議題、學科和媒體的全球語言,進而將影像作為當代文化研究的途徑,並尋求影像藝術實踐的方式。
本課程的核心教學活動是製作影像作品,以攝影、錄像、動畫和影像裝置為主要創作形式,研討創作論述及展示手法。除了實作,課程中也將引入當代影像議題單元,與相關當代藝術家作品分析。整體上課方式將以『小型研究會』(Seminar)的模式進行理論思維與個人藝術創作的深度對談。
此課程雖為創作課程,但鼓勵學生閱讀或觀看相關文本與藝術作品,並以團體評圖討論模式(Group Art Critique),期望達到多元創作想法的流通,以開發學生獨立創作與研究的深度與可能性,並且去思考當代影像藝術如何成為一種介入當代現象的方式。
This course is a graduate creative course. It aims to explore the wide range of image forms in contemporary new media society, guide creators to regard images as a global language that spans multiple issues, disciplines and media, and then use images as a way to study contemporary culture. And seek ways to practice video art.
The core teaching activity of this course is to produce video works, using photography, video, animation and video installation as the main creative forms, and to discuss creative discussion and display techniques. In addition to practical exercises, the course will also introduce a unit on contemporary imaging issues and analyze the works of relevant contemporary artists. The overall class method will be a "Seminar" model for in-depth discussions on theoretical thinking and personal artistic creation.
Although this course is a creative course, students are encouraged to read or watch relevant texts and works of art, and use the Group Art Critique mode to achieve the circulation of diverse creative ideas and develop the depth and depth of students' independent creation and research. possibilities, and think about how contemporary video art can become a way to intervene in contemporary phenomena.
