此課程邀請學術界知名學者，或是產業界經驗豐富之實務工作者，進行演講與交流，討論積體電路、通訊、奈米科技以及能源相關各個研究領域的現況與趨勢，以期學生能增廣見聞。除此之外，也安排學生簡報所研讀的相關工程主題論文。This course invites well-known academics or experienced practitioners in the industry to conduct lectures and exchanges, discuss the current situation and trends of various research fields related to overall circuits, communications, nanotechnology and energy, in order to increase students' ability to grow See. In addition, students are also arranged to briefly report the relevant engineering topic papers studied by the institute.
培養學生閱讀、資料分析、實驗設計、問題討論。訓練學生具有歸納問題，追求及探索知識的能力，透過口頭報告培養學生表達的能力，進而訓練學生具有從事生命科學相關議題研究的能力。
