羊為台灣重要的畜牧產業之一，隨著國人生活水準提高，注重營養，羊肉及乳品占有一定消費市場。羊學包括山羊及綿羊，內容介紹羊的國際市場、羊的營養需求、飼養管理，羊肉及羊乳生產及副產物之利用，從課程中使學生達到如下目標：1.國際觀：使學生具有寬廣國際觀視野與仁愛精神及道德觀 2.關心環境與愛護動物：推廣環境保護認知課程並營造友善安全之社會環境，以及教導學生尊重與關懷生命的態度，並建立學生重視環境衛生與動物保護。 3.生活知能：使學生獲得紮實之基礎知識並建立動物行為之模式，及能習得技能投入社會生產行列或進一步深造研究。並符合系的共同目標
1.使學生兼具傳統畜產與新興生物科技之學養。
2 .使學生獲得紮實之基礎課程訓練。
3 .使學生兼具理論與實作之素養。
4 .使學生具有寬廣視野、團隊合作的精神與專業倫理。
5 .教導學生重視生命及環保的態度。Sheep are one of the important livestock industries in Taiwan. As the people's living standards improve, they pay attention to nutrition. Lamb and dairy products occupy a certain consumer market. Sheep studies include goats and sheep. The content introduces the international market of sheep, the nutritional needs of sheep, and the utilization of mutton and sheep milk production and by-products. Through the course, students can achieve the following goals: 1. International View: Make students have Widespread international vision, benevolence and morality 2. Care for the environment and love for animals: promote the environmental protection knowledge course and create a friendly and safe social environment, and teach students to respect and care about life, and establish students to value environmental hygiene and animal protection. 3. Life knowledge: enable students to gain practical basic knowledge and establish patterns of animal behavior, and be able to acquire skills to invest in social production or further study. and meet the common goals of the department
