本課程承繼大二的政治學研究法基礎，於開始對研究法作簡略的複習後，課程主要重點在針對統計學的
基本原則和方法，以及統計學在社會科學的運用之教學，期使同學對統計在研究政治現象所扮演的角色
有深入的瞭解。並配合統計軟體的介紹與實作，使學生能夠獨立從事資料分析。第一學期中考前期，著重於社會科學的研究法重要觀念快速複習，期中考後以及第二學期著重於資料的分析和統計學實務的研討和實作。主要內容有(1) 社會科學
研究法，研究的基本概念和研究設計； (2) 統計學在社會科學的運用與角色；(3) 統計分析的方法(使用
MS EXCEL、SPSS、R)。最終目標使學生能夠獨立從事資料分析。This course follows the political research method foundation in sophomore year. After starting a brief revision of research method, the main focus of the course is on the study of the statistical philosophy.
Basic principles and methods, as well as the teaching of the application of statistic in social sciences, aiming to enable students to play the role of statistic in studying political phenomena
Have in-depth understanding. And cooperate with the introduction and implementation of the statistical software to enable students to conduct independent data analysis. In the early stage of the first grade, we focused on rapid revision of important concepts of social science research methods, and after the middle school entrance examination and the second grade, we focused on the analysis of data and the study and implementation of statistical practices. Research method, basic concepts and research design of research; (2) the application and role of statistical science in social science; (3) the method of statistical analysis (using
