產品語意學乃是研究人造物的形態,在使用情境中的象徵特性,並應用此這知識於工業設計上。設計師作為一個賦予產品造形的主要作用者(設計專業者),掌握產品意義是必要的。同時也應具有賦予產品造型上的意義的能力。產品的設計過程,特別是對於型態的表達與應用,絕不該是來自設計師天馬行空、胡言亂語的表徵。產品做為媒介與器物應該真實的反應其產品的特性與意涵,以此連結使用者。因此本課程的目標即在於有系統的引導學生,使學生能明確的思考與探討與產品造形表徵的呈現方式。Product semantics is the study of the form of artificial objects and their symbolic properties in use situations, and the application of this knowledge to industrial design. As a main actor (design professional) who gives product shape, it is necessary for designers to grasp the meaning of products. At the same time, it should also have the ability to give the product modeling meaning. The product design process, especially the expression and application of form, should never be a representation of the designer’s wild imagination and nonsense. As media and utensils, products should truly reflect the characteristics and meaning of the product to connect users. Therefore, the goal of this course is to guide students systematically so that students can clearly think and discuss the presentation methods of product shape representation.
