1. 國際觀：使學生具有寬廣國際觀視野與仁愛精神及道德觀 2. 關心環境與愛護動物：推廣環境保護認知課程並營造友善安全之社會環境，以及教導學生尊重與關懷生命的態度，並建立學生重視環境衛生與動物保護。 3. 生活知能：使學生獲得紮實之學識基礎並建立動物行為之模式。課程之禽類包括：家禽之雞、鴨、鵝、火雞等; 家畜則包括：牛、山羊、綿羊、豬、馬與鹿等。課程對各種禽畜動物行為分門別類之介紹。
從課程中使學生習得對動物之基本管理知識技能：認識家畜的行為，便於畜牧業者以家畜行為學之知識應用於飼養管理，以獲得最佳的經營利益、避免管理者受到家畜傷害及滿足人類求知。另外課程之設計希望能活用知識並應用於對動物之飼養管理：使學生從課程中更深一層認識家禽，並能以所學應用於家禽飼養管理上，例如：畜舍設計。

1. International outlook: To enable students to have a broad international perspective, a spirit of benevolence and a moral outlook. 2. Care for the environment and animal protection: Promote environmental protection awareness courses and create a friendly and safe social environment, as well as teach students an attitude of respecting and caring for life, and establish students' attention to environmental health and animal protection. 3. Life knowledge: enable students to acquire a solid foundation of knowledge and establish patterns of animal behavior. Poultry in the course include: poultry such as chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, etc.; livestock include: cattle, goats, sheep, pigs, horses, deer, etc. The course introduces the behaviors of various livestock and animals by categories.
From the course, students can acquire basic animal management knowledge and skills: understanding the behavior of livestock, so that livestock farmers can apply the knowledge of livestock behavior to feeding and management, so as to obtain the best business interests, avoid managers being harmed by livestock, and satisfy human beings' thirst for knowledge. In addition, the design of the course hopes to make full use of knowledge and apply it to the raising and management of animals: students will gain a deeper understanding of poultry from the course, and can apply what they have learned to poultry raising and management, such as livestock house design.

Understanding the behavior of livestock makes it easier for livestock farmers to apply knowledge of livestock behavior to feeding and management in order to obtain the best business interests, avoid managers being harmed by livestock, and satisfy human curiosity.
