統計是一門分析資料的工具學科,分為描述統計與推論統計兩類。描述統計以討論集中量數、變異量數、與關係量數三種統計量數為主,推論統計則包括母數及無母數各類假設考驗與估計。本課程目標在教導學生能熟悉處理資料時的步驟,分辨各種統計方法的適用時機,對於分析結果能正確解釋其意義,以培養科學態度與邏輯思考能力,同時運用於社會工作實務。本階段的社會統計以基礎統計及運用為主要教學內容,強調針對不同性質的資料與研究設計,選擇適當的統計方法,並根據結果對母群體的特性作合理的推論。Statistics is a tool for analyzing data, divided into two categories: descriptive statistics and recommendation statistics. The description statistics mainly discuss three types of statistical measurement numbers, namely, number of centralized quantities, number of variables, and number of related quantities. The statistical calculations include masters and non-masters assumptions. The purpose of this course is to teach students how to be familiar with the steps of processing data, distinguish the appropriate times of various statistical methods, and to correctly interpret the meaning of the analysis results, so as to cultivate scientific attitudes and logical thinking skills, and to be used in social work practices. The social systice in this stage is based on basic schema and application as the main teaching content, and emphasizes data and research designs of different natures, selects appropriate statistical methods, and makes reasonable recommendations on the characteristics of the parent group based on the results.
這一門課主要在訓練社會工作系的學生瞭解有關統計的一些基本概念、原理以及各種統計方法的程序和運算,且將此一理解應用在實務工作中的資料整理和研究方面。因此本課程所著重的是統計方法的選擇與運用,而以邏輯運算為輔,並以實際的社會事實、社會工作實務為範例,予以分析討論、解釋數據、說明結果。社會工作者在當前的社會中必須要會使用具體、明確、可觀察和測量的數據資料,方能說服他人、據實力爭。因此藉由本課程的學習來訓練學生邏輯分析、閱讀研究報告的能力,進而培育以實力為取向的實務工作者為終極目的。本課程為社會工作學系二年級學生必修課程之一。
This course mainly focuses on students who train social work departments to understand some basic concepts, principles, procedures and calculations of various statistical methods, and apply this understanding to data sorting and research in practical work. Therefore, this course focuses on the selection and application of statistical methods, and uses logical calculation as the basis, and uses actual social facts and social work practices as examples to analyze and discuss, explain data, and explain the results. Social workers must use specific, clear, observable and measured data in the current society in order to convince others and compete with each other. Therefore, through the learning of this course, students' ability to edit and analyze, read research reports, and then cultivate practical workers with strength-oriented orientation for the ultimate goal. This course is one of the compulsory courses for second-year students in the Department of Social Work.
