Ming Bookstores and Publication Culture

教育目標 Course Target

課程目標:瞭解以讀書、做書為導向的文化生產方式對明代文獻文化的影響以及如何影響了後世對明代文獻的認識和評價。
課程內涵:反思長期以來官刻、家刻、坊刻分類模式給明代書籍研究帶來的桎梏,質疑明代刊刻勃興時期即形成、經由四庫館臣強化而一直沿襲至今的有關明人刻書的刻板印象,在與西方印刷革命的對比中建構明人圖書生產的意義。

Course objectives: Understand the impact of cultural production methods oriented toward reading and making books on the literature culture of the Ming Dynasty and how it affected later generations' understanding and evaluation of Ming Dynasty literature.
Course content: Reflect on the shackles that the long-term classification model of official engraving, family engraving, and shop engraving brought to the study of books in the Ming Dynasty, question the stereotypes about Ming book engraving that were formed during the flourishing period of publishing in the Ming Dynasty, were reinforced by Siku officials and have been followed to this day, and construct the significance of Ming book production in comparison with the Western printing revolution.

課程概述 Course Description

從明代書籍本身出發,鋪排明代眾多書本得以生產、流通和使用的歷史實踐網路,探討明人由書籍所創作和實現的政治、社會和思想文化的形態和功能。

Starting from the books themselves in the Ming Dynasty, this paper lays out the historical practice network of the production, circulation and use of many books in the Ming Dynasty, and explores the political, social and ideological and cultural forms and functions created and realized by books in the Ming Dynasty.
