本課程名為聲韻學，講授內容集中在漢語音韻學。透過歷史文獻材料與現代漢語方言的介紹，加強對漢語音韻的瞭解，並傳授語音學、音系學知識，使學生能對不同音變現象有所觀察，並具有分析的能力。課程安排依序是國際音標與基本語言學概念、個人母語的探索與認識、現代方言、近代音、中古音的分析，以及上古音系統簡介，使同學從母語或熟悉的語言出發，進而瞭解古今漢語演變的規律。經由對古代漢語深入理解，便能應用聲韻學觀念，在訓解古籍或賞析古詩文上有所助益。

This course is called Phonology, and the teaching content focuses on Chinese phonology. Through the introduction of historical documents and modern Chinese dialects, we will strengthen our understanding of Chinese phonetics and impart knowledge of phonetics and phonology, so that students can observe different sound change phenomena and have the ability to analyze them. The courses are arranged in order of International Phonetic Alphabet and basic linguistic concepts, exploration and understanding of personal mother tongue, analysis of modern dialects, modern phonetics, medieval phonetics, and an introduction to ancient phonetic systems, allowing students to start from their mother tongue or familiar language and then understand the evolution of ancient and modern Chinese. Through a deep understanding of ancient Chinese, you can apply the concept of phonology, which will be helpful in interpreting ancient books or appreciating ancient poetry.
