民法債編總論為財產法的權利義務關係的通則，在今交易頻繁的社會關係中，債法的適用及了解更形重要︒本課程著重於建立學生對債編通則的體系基礎及理論應用，以奠定學生財產法的基礎︒因此本課程首先就債編通則的體系作一整體性的介紹及分析，以建立學生對債總的基礎了解，然後分就債之發生︑標的︑效力︑移轉︑多數債權人及債務人與消滅等主題，以體系表的建立及實務判例之解說為主，循序闡釋相關理論，並藉由案例之演譯，以培養學生適用理論於實務的能力︒
