民法所規範者，乃私人間一般社會生活關係；而債編總論則為民法各類之債提供共通的抽象基礎規範。本課程分為上、下兩學期進行，旨在使學生得以全面掌握債編總論之重要概念與體系，並在此基礎上進一步的培養獨立思考、批判分析民事法律問題之能力。於架構上，將依序就債之發生原因(契約、無因管理、不當得利、侵權行為)以及債之效力進行討論，其中並輔以代表性之相關實務見解為說明。透過理論與實務現況之介紹，完整呈現債法之面貌。

What the civil law regulates is the general social life relationship between private individuals; while the general treatise on debts provides common abstract basic norms for various types of debts in the civil law. This course is divided into two semesters, the first and the second semester. It aims to enable students to fully grasp the important concepts and systems of the General Theory of Debt Compilation, and on this basis, further cultivate the ability to think independently and critically analyze civil legal issues. In terms of structure, the causes of debt (contract, management without cause, unjust enrichment, tort) and the effectiveness of debt will be discussed in order, supplemented by representative relevant practical insights. Through the introduction of theory and current practice, the appearance of debt law is completely presented.

研究民法上所規定的債之通則，就債的發生、標的、效力、移轉、消滅與多數債務人及多數債權人等之理論與實踐。債法 具有交易法的色彩，於今日人與人接觸頻繁，發生財產上的權利義務關係甚多之情形下，最為重要。

Study the general principles of debt stipulated in the civil law, including the theory and practice of the occurrence, subject matter, validity, transfer, and elimination of debt, as well as the majority of debtors and the majority of creditors. Obligation law has the color of transaction law, and it is most important in today's situation where people have frequent contacts with each other and there are many rights and obligations in property.
