近年來保險事業發展迅速，保險學術水準亦日提昇。因此本課程講授內容以理論與實務並重。並分別就保險全面作總合與各論之研究。除廣泛取材於國內外有關保險學術之著作外，更引用我國現行有關保險法令加以驗證，期使學生能明瞭我國保險法之演進、立法宗旨、各條款之內涵及其相互關係。因此，透過本課程之介紹，有助於使學生了解下列問題 1.解釋何為保險及其功能 2.了解保險法主要基本架構 3.了解保險契約當事人之主要權利及義務 4.認識保險監理法制In recent years, insurance industry has developed rapidly, and the insurance academic standard has also improved day by day. 保險為分散危險、消化損失之制度，社會經濟之繁榮，個人幸福保障，莫不以保險為基礎。保險法則為保險制度之基石，因此保險法之研究與發展刻不容緩。本課程理論與實務並重，對保險法之失，亦提出改進之方案。使學生明瞭我國保險法之演變、立法主旨、各條款之涵養及其互相關係，並比較各國立法例，使學生能衡其異同與得失。
