民法總則乃法律人初學科目，必須引領了解法律的真諦，學習民法的架構、概念與邏輯應用。祈使學生領悟法律規定的目的、法律與社會通念的連結、法律在社會變動中演化的價值判斷，實踐法律精神。
本學期民法課程將接續上學期課程部分，將整個民法總則作完整介紹。

General Principles of Civil Law is a beginner subject for legal professionals. It must lead them to understand the true meaning of law and learn the structure, concepts and logical applications of civil law. Enable students to understand the purpose of legal provisions, the connection between law and society, the value judgment of the evolution of law in social changes, and practice the spirit of law.
This semester's civil law course will continue from the previous semester's course, giving a complete introduction to the entire general principles of civil law.
