細胞生物學為食品科學、動植物學、理化、環境科學、免疫與醫學之交集,也是通向基礎與應用的重要起點。本課程藉由代表性專題使修習者能對細胞之生與死、分化與癌化、訊息傳導、膜通道及神經傳導等有所思考與認識,而能回答諸如化學物質加入食品或環境之影響,以及細胞老化死亡與個體健康關連等問題。Cell biology is the intersection of food science, zoology and botany, physics and chemistry, environmental science, immunity and medicine. It is also an important starting point towards basics and applications.
