以自編講義、選篇為主，參考《現代文學》（空大）、《臺灣小說發展史》（古繼堂/文史哲）、《臺灣新詩發展史》（古繼堂）、《一首詩的誕生》（白靈）、《現代詩創作演練》（蕭蕭）等現代文學發展、論述之專著，及各作家作品集。
