大學的目標之一是傳授知識與創造知識。創造知識需要一套方法。「社會研究方法」
課程的目標是討論介紹社會學研究方法的基本概念與過程,使得學生對量化與質化研究有
一定程度的瞭解。研究方法是社會科學追求新知、累積知識的一套工具,研究者透過這一
套完整的工具來探索社會的運作規則。然而,社會的議題錯綜複雜,難以套用研究方法,
需要因應不同的研究議題,調整研究方法來達到最佳的研究結果。初學者除了學習基本概
念與完整的流程,若能經由實際的操作、做中學,比較容易學得如何使用研究方法。因此,
本課程將提供學生一個進行社會學實證性研究的機會,透過分組合作的一個小型研究計畫
