1.本課程以普通法(Common Law)及美國法為介紹主體.除法律發展與司法制度及法源之了解外,特別如獨立宣言,美國憲法,基本人權,刑事訴訟法,侵權法等,以了解美國法制之特色及其與大陸法制發展之相互影響.
2.希望透過相關法律與案件及補充教材之學習,美國法相關案件之導讀,配合影片學習與法庭參訪,引發同學學習方法與興趣之建立,基本英美法概念之認識,啟迪以透過就其他國家社會文化歷史法制等之了解,省思法律之制定與執行,以符法律為良善與公平之藝術.1. This course takes Common Law and American law as the main introduction. 英美法系以普通慣習、法官之判決先例、衡平法原則等發展而來。本課程以介紹美國法律為重心。影響大陸法系發展與英美法制核心概念之介紹，研讀並實作重要判例之摘要，以培養法律英文能力，啟發探究「法何以為法」之興趣。主要內容如美國憲法、侵權法、契約法、刑事訴訟法等概述。
The Anglo-American legal system developed from common custom, judges' precedents, and principles of equity. This course focuses on an introduction to U.S. law.
