1. Understand the nature, goals and types of educational research
2. Understand the procedures for literature review
3. Understand sampling procedures
4. Understand the concepts and procedures for selecting and administering tests and other assessment tools
5. Understand the concepts and procedures of major research methods
6. Understand the statistical techniques applicable to analyzing data of different research designs (this objective can be combined with or integrated into courses related to educational statistics)
7. Skills in preparing various master’s thesis projects
