本課程目的主要分為兩大部份，第一部份瞭解人力資源管理的理論與實務意涵，包括招募甄選、訓練與發展、薪酬、員工關係，另培養學生知識吸收傳遞與創造分享的精神，並鼓勵分享互動式團隊學習，以增進學生學習意願。
在第二部份，除了主要讀本的講述，透過學生閱讀人力資源管理相關的學術文章與心得回饋，建立學生分析與批判能力。在課程內容安排將呼應HRM的主軸，並挑選相關學術文章，及配合個案實證的文章，除了讓學生獲取主要讀本以外的新知，更重要的是學科的整合與應用，能瞭解目前學術與實務上所探討的核心方向與主流。
期望學生在學習後，應具備在人力資源管理範疇的整合應用與邏輯思考判斷能力，甚至發現創新可實現的人力資源管理議題。The purpose of this course is mainly divided into two parts.
