文學家王爾德曾說:「在惠斯勒的畫之前,倫敦沒有霧」。意謂著倫敦雖長期灰霧濃鎖,然而卻是透過畫家惠斯勒的畫作,大家才意識到霧的無所不在。大一的中文課程,即是透過經典文學的閱讀與理解,使同學在接觸文藝美學的同時,一方面獲得純粹審美經驗,同時亦能撥雲見月,逐漸體會文本背後的社會框架、文化價值,甚而是批判意識,最終能重新審視生活中存在已久卻或視而不見事物,建立關懷社會,親近藝文的博雅人文素養。Literary Wang Erd once said: "Before Whistler's paintings, there was no mist in London." 課程定位:
「中文」課程為全校大一新生共同必修課程之一,學分數2-2,共計4學分。以學院為單位,開設數門專題式文學課程,供學生依照個人興趣選課,以期能熟悉部分文學類型,達到文學欣賞、文化陶冶的目的。
教學目標:
一、分析問題與欣賞文藝,提升個人對文學藝術的知性和感性能力。
二、駕馭並應用語文、文學、文化的知識能力。
三、掌握語文表達能力。
四、具備思辨的內涵和能力。
教學內容:
透過古典或現代文學代表作品,呈現豐富、活潑的文學風格及面貌,使同學能深入探討中國文化、汲取心靈智慧、傳承文化資源,體會文學生活化、現代化及持續發展的生命力。教材擇取上,除配合教學目標外,亦根據各學院之不同特性而予以調整,另於課堂上輔以分組討論、報告、作品分享等學習方式,活化課程。並規定每學期的習作篇數,以收實際成效。
預期效果:
一、提升閱讀、欣賞及寫作之興趣與能力。
二、提升思辯、語文表達能力。
三、養成廣泛閱讀的習慣,增進涵泳文學、文化之能力。
四、開拓生活視野,培育文化素養,加強人文關懷。
Course positioning:
The "Chinese" course is one of the compulsory courses for freshmen in the school. It has 2-2 scores and a total of 4 points.
