本課程乃入門性質，其主要目標為協助景觀系一年級新生，使其對景觀專業的特性、專業哲理、工作內容、和未來四年內所學習的景觀課程與訓練等事項，以及彼此之間的關聯性，有初步性的瞭解。This course is an entry-level quality, and its main purpose is to help new students in the landscape tourism department to make them specialize in landscape tourism, professional philosophy, work content, and landscape tourism courses and training learned in the next four years, as well as between them There is a preliminary understanding of the relationship between the two.
本課程乃大一新生第一學期必修之課，屬於景觀專業學習之入門介紹。全課程分為四階段如下：
〈一〉景觀定義與景觀元素解讀。
〈二〉景觀專業介紹。
〈三〉國內外景觀教育。
〈四〉景觀設計與景觀規劃。
