(一)本課程以透過閱讀、欣賞與創作，認識水墨畫的歷史、美學價值、材料特質與創作優勢，拓展繪畫技能與深化東方美學思維。
(二)認識當代台灣、海外與大陸的傑出水墨畫家，借鑒他人發現風格的過程與方式，幫助學生提前思考個人創作文脈、建立自我風格，以期達到「知而後行」的引導功能，縮短學生摸索過程。
(三)結合寫生、創作、參訪美術館與藝術家工作室，增強創作技術與概念。

(1) This course aims to understand the history, aesthetic value, material characteristics and creative advantages of ink painting through reading, appreciation and creation, expand painting skills and deepen Eastern aesthetic thinking.
(2) Understand the outstanding contemporary ink painters from Taiwan, overseas and mainland China, and learn from the process and methods of discovering styles of others to help students think about their personal creative context and establish their own style in advance, in order to achieve the guiding function of "knowing and then acting" and shortening the students' exploration process.
(3) Combine sketching, creation, and visits to art galleries and artist studios to enhance creative techniques and concepts.
