本課程旨在訓練政治系同學在計量研究上的理論與實務，以便於未來無論在學術上或實務上瞭解社會、政治及經濟現象的本質，並能知道如何針對實際問題，提出研究計畫並實地從事蒐集資料，進一步分析得出結論。本課程主要分為四大部份：經驗研究的基礎；研究的設計與結構；資料的蒐集；資料的統計與分析。
This course aims to train students from the Department of Political Science in the theory and practice of quantitative research, so that they can understand the nature of social, political and economic phenomena both academically and practically in the future, and know how to propose research plans and propose research plans for practical problems. Conduct field work to collect data and further analyze to draw conclusions. This course is mainly divided into four parts: the basis of empirical research; the design and structure of research; the collection of data; and the statistics and analysis of data.
