美學長期為國人所忽略，然而美學教育實為提升國民品質乃至產業升級的基礎之一。本課程主要講授美學史上的一些重要理論，以提供學生學理支援。過程中會搭配各種類型藝術作品進行講解，並進行課堂討論或練習等活動，以提高學習興致與觀察及賞析作品的能力。本課程同時安排讓同學分組：一、做圖面設計以推銷自己系所（學院或學校），二、自選一件藝術作品進行藝術評論，並分別於期中與期末上台報告，以期同學在初步認識美學理論之餘，能將所學應用在生活上。Aesthetics has long been ignored by the people, but aesthetic education is actually one of the foundations for improving the quality of the people and even upgrading their industries. This course mainly teaches some important theories in the history of aesthetics to provide student science support. During the process, various types of art works will be combined for explanations, and activities such as class discussion or practice will be conducted to improve the ability to learn, observe and analyze works. This course also arranges students to sub-group: 1. Make screen designs to promote your department (college or school), 2. Choose an art work for art evaluation, and report on stage separately at the mid-term and end of the period, so that students can apply what they learn to life in their preliminary understanding of aesthetic theory.
