美學長期為國人所忽略，然而美學教育實為提升國民品質乃至產業升級的基礎之一。本課程主要講授美學史上的一些重要理論，以提供學生學理支援。過程中會搭配各種類型藝術作品進行講解，並進行課堂討論或練習等活動，以提高學習興致與觀察及賞析作品的能力。本課程同時安排讓同學分組：一、做圖面設計以推銷自己系所（學院或學校），二、自選一件藝術作品進行藝術評論，並分別於期中與期末上台報告，以期同學在初步認識美學理論之餘，能將所學應用在生活上。

Aesthetics has long been ignored by Chinese people, but aesthetic education is actually one of the foundations for improving national quality and even industrial upgrading. This course mainly teaches some important theories in the history of aesthetics to provide students with academic support. During the process, various types of art works will be explained, and activities such as class discussions or exercises will be conducted to improve learning interest and the ability to observe and appreciate the works. This course also arranges students to be divided into groups: 1. Make graphic design to promote their department (college or school); 2. Select an art work for art criticism, and report on the stage at the midterm and the end respectively, so that students can apply what they have learned to their daily lives after having a preliminary understanding of aesthetic theory.
