社會心理學主要探討個人的思想、知覺、和行為如何受到旁人和群眾所影響，介乎心理學與社會學之間。本課程將介紹三大主要課題：社會知覺（social perception）、社會影響（social influence）和群體過程（group processes）。社會知覺主要研究個人對事情的歸因和態度，以及態度的形成和改變；社會影響則著重個人的意見和表現，如何受到別人和群體所影響；群體過程則探討小組或群體中的一些現象，例如群體極化、群思等。

Social psychology mainly explores how individuals' thoughts, perceptions, and behaviors are affected by others and the public. It lies between psychology and sociology. This course will introduce three major topics: social perception, social influence, and group processes. Social perception mainly studies individuals' attributions and attitudes towards things, as well as the formation and change of attitudes; social influence focuses on how individual opinions and performance are affected by others and groups; group process explores some phenomena in groups or groups, such as group polarization, groupthink, etc.

透過課程講授與新聞時事、相關案例討論方式，使學生認識日常社會生活中人類社會心理行為反應、意義與影響因素，以增進學生理解與分析人類行為之能力。

Through course lectures, news, current affairs, and relevant case discussions, students will be able to understand the reactions, significance, and influencing factors of human social and psychological behaviors in daily social life, so as to enhance students' ability to understand and analyze human behavior.
