3. Lay the foundation for further research on the thoughts and philosophical subjects of various philosophers in the future.

本課程講述西方哲學自古希臘經古羅馬至中世紀之發展與主要的各家思想。內容包括（一）先蘇時期的自然學﹔（二）辯士與蘇格拉底﹔（三）柏拉圖與亞里士多德﹔（四）希臘化時期的哲學﹔（五）基督宗教與教父哲學﹔（六）中世紀經院哲學。

This course describes the development of Western philosophy from ancient Greeks to the Middle Ages and the main ideas of various schools. The content includes (1) naturalism in the pre-Suz-era period; (2) Scholars and Sucrates; (3) Platz and Aristotle; (4) Philosophy in the Greek period; (5) Christianity and the Godfather's philosophy; (6) Medieval Academy philosophy.
