本課程以「思考方法」為主軸，旨在介紹不限於哲學領域、可廣泛應用的推理工具，涵蓋論證的辨識與重構、演繹與歸納推論、因果分析及規範性推論等，並解說日常思考中常見的形式與非形式謬誤。課程不以抽象理論的記誦為目標，而著重思考技能的反覆練習。練習主題將以羅素《幸福之路》對競爭、嫉妒、疲勞、工作等日常生活議題的評論，以及其他現實爭議等作為討論素材，練習對於看似理所當然的「常識智慧」建立論證，並辨識其隱藏的前提，以利評估相關論證是否有效與健全。藉由每週的論證分析與密集的課堂討論，本課程期望協助學生發展較為嚴謹的反思與判斷能力，旨在培養學生理性的思考素養。

This course focuses on "Thinking Methods" and aims to introduce reasoning tools that are not limited to the field of philosophy and can be widely used. It covers the identification and reconstruction of arguments, deductive and inductive inferences, causal analysis and normative inferences, etc., and explains common formal and informal fallacies in daily thinking. The course does not aim at memorizing abstract theories, but focuses on repeated practice of thinking skills. The exercise topics will use Russell's "The Road to Happiness" comments on daily life issues such as competition, jealousy, fatigue, work, and other real-life controversies as discussion materials. Practice building arguments for seemingly natural "common sense wisdom" and identifying its hidden premises, so as to evaluate whether the relevant arguments are valid and sound. Through weekly argument analysis and intensive classroom discussions, this course hopes to help students develop more rigorous reflection and judgment abilities, aiming to cultivate students' rational thinking qualities.
