本課程旨在帶領學生跳脫對動物行為的單純獵奇或擬人化想像，深入探索動物心智與行為的運作機制。透過課程介紹，學習掌握動物行為學的核心理論，理解行為的近因（如神經結構、內分泌調節與發育過程）與遠因（如演化適應與生存價值），更將熟練動物行為的研究方法。強調理論與當代研究前沿的接軌，並著重培養跨領域的轉譯能力，引導學生將行為學知識實際應用於經濟動物的福利改善與產業管理中。

This course aims to lead students away from simple curiosity or anthropomorphic imagination about animal behavior, and to deeply explore the operating mechanism of animal mind and behavior. Through course introduction, you will learn to master the core theories of animal behavior, understand the proximate causes (such as neural structure, endocrine regulation and developmental processes) and remote causes (such as evolutionary adaptation and survival value) of behavior, and become proficient in research methods of animal behavior. It emphasizes the integration of theory and contemporary research frontiers, and focuses on cultivating cross-field translation capabilities, guiding students to apply behavioral knowledge to the welfare improvement and industrial management of economic animals.
