讓畜產新鮮人對「畜產與生物科學系」之畜產學習領域與相關科學有一初步認識，便於衡量自己未來方向。引導認識本系老師之專長、研究方向和主題，介紹如何利用圖書館、網際網路等管道，探索畜產相關資源，循序漸進培養畜產興趣。以及認識畜產動物、畜產動物的營養、生理與健康。畜產廢棄物之處理、環境荷爾蒙、以及有機農業之認知。
