這門「研究方法」課程專為公共行政學系設計，希望培養學生具備完整的研究能力與政策分析技能。課程內容涵蓋三大主軸：質化研究方法、量化研究方法，以及創新的空間分析技術。
質化研究部分包含訪談技巧、焦點團體、參與觀察、民族誌、口述歷史及參與式繪圖等方法，讓學生能深入了解政策利害關係人的需求與經驗。量化研究部分涵蓋量表編製、抽樣設計、統計分析及空間統計，培養學生處理大規模數據的能力。本課程強調理論與實務並重，每週都包含實作練習，學生將學會完整的研究流程。最終目標是培養學生成為具備現代研究技能的公共行政專業人才，能夠運用多元研究方法對應複雜的政策問題，並有效地將研究成果轉化為政策建議。

This "Research Methods" course is specially designed for the Department of Public Administration, hoping to cultivate students with complete research capabilities and policy analysis skills. The course content covers three main axes: qualitative research methods, quantitative research methods, and innovative spatial analysis techniques.
The qualitative research component includes methods such as interviewing techniques, focus groups, participant observation, ethnography, oral history and participatory mapping, allowing students to gain an in-depth understanding of the needs and experiences of policy stakeholders. The quantitative research part covers scale preparation, sampling design, statistical analysis and spatial statistics, cultivating students' ability to process large-scale data. This course emphasizes both theory and practice, and includes practical exercises every week. Students will learn the complete research process. The ultimate goal is to train students to become public administration professionals with modern research skills, able to use multiple research methods to respond to complex policy issues, and effectively transform research results into policy recommendations.
