協助學生理解法學之基本概念，使修課同學獲得對法學中重要觀念的基本認識。
授課内涵包括，但不限於：1.法的意義；2.權利、義務與責任；3.法律、道德、宗教與風俗；4.法律與經濟、法律與政治、法律與社會學；5.大陸法系與英美法系；6. 西洋（重要國家）與我國法律發展史；7.法律之淵源與種類；8.法律的適用與效力；9.基本法律領域介紹：民法；10.基本法律領域介紹二：刑法；11.基本法律領域介紹三：憲法；12.司法組織與其架構等議題。

Help students understand the basic concepts of law and enable students to gain a basic understanding of important concepts in law.
The teaching content includes, but is not limited to: 1. The meaning of law; 2. Rights, obligations and responsibilities; 3. Law, morality, religion and customs; 4. Law and economics, law and politics, law and sociology; 5. Civil law system and common law system; 6. The history of legal development in the West (important countries) and my country; 7. The origin and types of law; 8. Application and effectiveness of law; 9. Introduction to basic legal fields: civil law; 10. Introduction to basic legal fields two: criminal law; 11. Introduction to basic legal fields three: Constitution; 12. Judicial organization and its structure and other issues.

政治乃管理眾人之事，身為一個政治人必須關心瞭解與眾人生活息息相關的法律規定。本課程除了介紹法學之基礎理論外，也引用實務上之案例闡釋，如最高法院之判例、司法院解釋、最高法院決議等。使同學能在理論和實務間有具體而深刻的理解。

Politics is about managing people. As a politician, you must care about and understand the legal regulations that are closely related to people's lives. In addition to introducing the basic theories of law, this course also cites practical case explanations, such as Supreme Court precedents, Judicial Yuan interpretations, Supreme Court decisions, etc. Enable students to have a concrete and profound understanding between theory and practice.
