每一位修課同學需要獨立產出一份研究論文，該論文必須根據政治現象提出重要的、經驗性的研究問題與研究假設，對此提出一個或數個可能的解釋因素，透過文獻討論與經驗性資料的收集來佐證其研究假設，無論是使用質性研究方法或是量化研究方法，其結論需具備政策意涵(policy implications)並對現實政治社會有所反省。

本課程訓練學生基礎撰寫報告的能力、搜集與處理資料的能力、製作簡報的能力、上台做專業簡報的能力。期待學生透過本課程的訓練，來達到發現問題的能力以及提出解決問題方案的能力，在畢業之後也能夠與職場上直接做銜接，或者可以為就讀研究所的論文寫作能力做準備。

本課程為人工加選並有修課人數上限，授課老師會在第一週對課程做完整的介紹，讓學生依照興趣選擇。想要修本課程的學生必須在第一週上課結束後(9/16)向授課老師登記加選，最晚的登記時間不超過9/16下午兩點。

Each student taking the course is required to independently produce a research paper. The paper must raise important, empirical research questions and research hypotheses based on political phenomena, propose one or several possible explanatory factors, and support its research hypotheses through literature discussion and collection of empirical data. Whether using qualitative research methods or quantitative research methods, the conclusions must have policy implications and reflect on real political society.

This course trains students in basic report writing abilities, the ability to collect and process information, the ability to make presentations, and the ability to give professional presentations on stage. It is expected that through the training of this course, students will be able to develop the ability to discover problems and propose solutions to problems. After graduation, they will be able to directly connect with the workplace, or prepare for graduate school thesis writing skills.

This course is manually added and has a maximum number of students. The instructor will give a complete introduction to the course in the first week, allowing students to choose according to their interests. Students who want to take this course must register with the instructor for additional enrollment after the end of the first week of class (9/16). The latest registration time is no later than 2 p.m. on 9/16.
