由於台灣屬於島國經濟型態，在欠缺自然資源的先天條件下，國際貿易實為台灣生存發展的主要命脈。因此本課程希能藉由上課講解要點、原則，從貿易的基本概念、交易條件、貿易磋商過程、信用狀、檢驗簽證、單據製作、裝運通關、結匯/押匯及貿易糾紛索賠等，使同學能在有限的學習時間內，熟悉國際貿易的主要程序。此外，同學須製作書面報告，內容為虛擬貿易公司及產品，從公司規劃、包裝設計、貿易書信、貿易條件選定、進出口成本計算、排定船期、單據製作等等，模擬並完成一完整的貿易流程。

Since Taiwan is an island economy and lacks natural resources, international trade is actually the main lifeline for Taiwan's survival and development. Therefore, this course hopes to explain the key points and principles through class, from the basic concepts of trade, transaction conditions, trade negotiation process, letters of credit, inspection visas, document production, shipment and customs clearance, foreign exchange settlement/advertisement and trade dispute claims, etc., so that students can become familiar with the main procedures of international trade within a limited learning time. In addition, students are required to produce a written report covering the virtual trading company and products, simulating and completing a complete trade process from company planning, packaging design, trade letters, selection of trade terms, import and export cost calculations, shipping schedules, document production, etc.

台灣乃一海島型經濟國家，島內天然資源貧乏，故經濟之發展需仰賴對外貿易之擴張加以彌補。國際貿易實務，乃為對外貿易廠商訓練業務經營人才而設立之預備作業基礎學習的科目。透過本科目之學習，了解並熟悉貿易操作技巧，使同學日後就業時更能得心應手。

Taiwan is an island economy country with limited natural resources. Therefore, economic development must rely on the expansion of foreign trade to make up for it. International trade practice is a basic course of preparatory work established to train business management talents for foreign trade manufacturers. Through the study of this subject, students can understand and become familiar with trade operation skills, so that students can be more comfortable in their future employment.
