2.「化學」不僅對學生的日常生活有極密切的關係，而且要讓學生體會及瞭解化學的原理和使用方法，及利用大自然廣大資源，來改善人類日常生活的需要，因而促進人類的物質文明。
3.化學除了製出許多有用化工產品，除讓人類生活更舒適外，往往也會產生一些對人類健康可能有害的物質，並污染大自然生態。
4. 因此，今日化學的研究也需要設法維護大自然，使人類有免於接受這些有害污染物的責任。
