Translation, Reading and Field Research of Taiwanese Culture

教育目標 Course Target

本課程的核心精神在於「文本閱讀」、「跨語翻譯」與「田野實踐」的三位一體,期望達到以下具體教育目標:
1.跨文化視角的台灣文化解讀:引導學生打破單一地域的思考框架,從空間治理、常民生活、影像記憶、歷史創傷等層面切入,建立對台灣文化多層次演進的宏觀理解。
2.語言實踐與跨語轉譯能力:藉由中日雙語的互動環境,讓台日雙方學生在共同課堂與移地踏查中進行深度的文化轉譯,培養在跨語言脈絡下的溝通與同理心。
3.田野調查與空間感悟:走出傳統教室框架,透過實地的歷史街區踏查、地方人群訪談與微觀生活體驗,將課堂文史理論與地方場域印證,培養敏銳的田野觀察力與空間敘事能力。
4.跨國團隊協作與國際視野:本課程學員由多國籍、跨年級與跨學科背景組成。學生須在跨文化的團隊環境中磨合溝通,共同進行田野協作、編導剪輯紀錄影片並發表成果,從而建立深厚的國際協作能力。

The core spirit of this course lies in the trinity of "text reading", "cross-language translation" and "field practice". It is expected to achieve the following specific educational goals:
1. Interpretation of Taiwanese culture from a cross-cultural perspective: Guide students to break away from the thinking framework of a single region and build a macro understanding of the multi-level evolution of Taiwanese culture from the perspectives of spatial governance, ordinary people's lives, image memories, and historical trauma.
2. Language practice and cross-language translation ability: Through the interactive environment of Chinese and Japanese bilingual, Taiwanese and Japanese students can conduct in-depth cultural translation in common classes and field trips, and cultivate communication and empathy in a cross-language context.
3. Fieldwork and spatial perception: Going beyond the traditional classroom framework, through on-the-spot inspections of historical districts, interviews with local people and micro-life experiences, the classroom cultural and historical theories are verified with the local field, and keen field observation and spatial narrative abilities are cultivated.
4. Transnational team collaboration and international perspective: Students in this course are composed of multi-national, cross-grade and cross-disciplinary backgrounds. Students are required to hone communication in a cross-cultural team environment, conduct field collaborations, write, direct, and edit documentary films and publish results, thereby building deep international collaboration capabilities.
