藝術史的脈絡發展至十九世紀中期後，逐漸地呈現出以形式為主導發展的現代主義思潮，隨著二十世紀以資本主義中產階級品味的大眾媒體的影響，進入了一個在藝術風格與形式之間開放融合的後現代主義時期；如失序般繁花盛開般的藝術現象，憑藉著何種觀點進行分析藝術作品以及自身創作時更增加了其難度。
本課程將聚焦於二個階段，第一階段以「分析作品」為起點，從作品文本內容、風格形式、時代背景、文化思潮等特定角度切入論述的核心，將建立個人對藝術作品分析研究的脈絡。第二階段則是以「影像文件」為主，藉由影像的紀錄性格，將特定的創作行為紀錄成文件，並對其展開書寫，成為個人藝術創作與理論的基礎結構。

After the development of art history in the mid-19th century, the trend of modernism gradually emerged as a form-led development. With the influence of the mass media with the taste of the capitalist middle class in the 20th century, it entered a period of post-modernism with an open fusion between artistic styles and forms. The phenomenon of art blooming out of order has made it more difficult to analyze artistic works and create one's own works from what perspective.
This course will focus on two stages. The first stage starts with "analyzing works" and cuts into the core of the discussion from specific perspectives such as text content, style and form, era background, cultural trends of thought, etc., and will establish a personal context for analyzing and researching artistic works. The second stage is mainly based on "image files". Through the recording character of images, specific creative behaviors are recorded into files and written, which become the basic structure of personal artistic creation and theory.

此課程將釐清視覺藝術創作與研究之關係，幫助學生理解視覺藝術創作研究之功能，以發展多面向的思考方法。
