教育目標 Course Target

這學期的碩博選修課沿用上學期的相同課名,不是因為上下兩學期的課程內容相同(如果真的如此,那我真是愧對我教師的身分),而是因為教育部規定,大學教師若是要開新的課程,就必須要重新通過三級三審,這也意味著學期末就要交出完整課程大綱,但學期末通常都還在忙著備課教課,還沒有時間好好思考新的課程大綱,所以我就先沿用相同課名,幫自己爭取一點思考課綱的時間。
這堂課主要是探討當代的思潮與概念,上學期討論的國家、正義、生態、知識和權力與後現代等,課程內容大致可以分為自由主義與保守主義兩大陣營對這些議題的討論。這學期討論的議題包括性別、取消文化、平等/不平等。另外,我們閱讀Michel Foucault對於自由主義、新自由主義作為國家治理手段,以及當代政治理論學者Wendy Brown對於Foucault著作的再理解,同時也站在對於新自由主義的批判立場,再次重申,左派觀點需要找到另外一種解決目前高度複雜社會的種種問題。不管我們的立場為何,在選邊站及作出決定之前,這堂課可以提供的是,從知識面向陳列各式觀點與見解,一一討論這些觀點說的對或錯,或者還有沒有更具說服力的其他觀點。而最終怎麼選擇立場,怎麼看待各種問題解決方案,就交給已經歷充分思考的各位了。
一如往常,我開設的課程會充斥著各種觀點的討論,有些討論內容和舉例離開課堂之後是相當政治不正確的(甚至讀本內容也會有此狀況),這些討論內容來自於彼此對社會現象的觀察與經驗,我希望各位針對討論內容進行爭辯,贊同或否定都只針對言論,而不涉及人格。討論必然充滿異質性,但是衝突請留在自身的思考與觀點中,課堂中若發生言語攻擊或身體暴力,我會立刻制止。(但我打不過各位,請各位手下留情)

This semester's master's and doctoral elective courses use the same course names as the previous semester, not because the course content in the two semesters is the same (if this is true, then I am really ashamed of my status as a teacher), but because the Ministry of Education stipulates that if university teachers want to open new courses, they must repeat Passing the third level review also means that the complete course syllabus must be handed in at the end of the semester. However, at the end of the semester, I am usually busy preparing and teaching classes, and there is no time to think about the new course syllabus, so I will use the same course title first to buy myself some time to think about the course syllabus.
This class mainly discusses contemporary ideological trends and concepts. The country, justice, ecology, knowledge and power, and postmodernity were discussed last semester. The course content can be roughly divided into discussions on these issues between the two camps of liberalism and conservatism. Topics discussed this semester include gender, cancel culture, and equality/inequality. In addition, we read Michel Foucault's views on liberalism and neoliberalism as a means of national governance, and contemporary political theory scholar Wendy Brown's re-understanding of Foucault's works. At the same time, we also take a critical stance on neoliberalism and reiterate that leftist perspectives need to find another way to solve the various problems of today's highly complex society. No matter what our stance is, before choosing a side and making a decision, what this class can provide is to display various opinions and opinions from a knowledge perspective, and discuss one by one whether these opinions are right or wrong, or whether there are other more convincing opinions. In the end, how to choose a position and how to view various problem solutions is left to everyone who has experienced sufficient thinking.
As usual, the courses I offer will be filled with discussions of various viewpoints. Some of the discussion content and examples will be quite politically incorrect after leaving the class (even the content of this book will be like this). The content of these discussions comes from each other's observations and experiences of social phenomena. I hope that everyone can argue about the content of the discussion. Agree or deny is only based on speech, not personality. Discussions are bound to be full of heterogeneity, but conflicts should remain within your own thoughts and opinions. If verbal attacks or physical violence occur in class, I will stop them immediately. (But I can’t beat you, so please be merciful)
