國際公法是全球化浪潮下以及日常國家政府互動時的基礎，也是許多其他國際間法律的基礎。舉凡國家地位、國際間戰爭的武力使用、以及國際間貿易紛爭仲裁等，都與國際公法密切相關。

在本課程中，同學們將會學習到國際法的基本概念、和國內法不同的國際法法源，國際公法以及國內法的位階等國際公法的基本性質。 課程內容也會涵蓋國家的主權、領土管轄權、豁免等內容，以及國際組織憲章、職責、以及國際人權法的相關規範。

本課程將增加學生對國際公法的理解，學生也將學習到如何運用國際公法解釋國家間的互動行為。

Public international law is the basis for globalization and daily interactions between national governments. It is also the basis for many other international laws. The status of a country, the use of force in international wars, and the arbitration of international trade disputes are all closely related to public international law.

In this course, students will learn the basic concepts of international law, the sources of international law that are different from domestic law, the basic nature of public international law and the hierarchy of domestic law. The course content will also cover national sovereignty, territorial jurisdiction, immunities, etc., as well as the charters and responsibilities of international organizations, and relevant norms of international human rights law.

This course will increase students' understanding of public international law, and students will also learn how to use public international law to explain interactions between states.

International law is defined as that body of rules or laws which is binding on states and other international persons in their mutual relations. The content of the class involves treaties, states’ rights and obligations, recognition, dispute resolution, law of the sea, and diplomacy.
