比較文學這個學門主要的研究領域與研究方法可分為「跨文化研究」與「跨藝術研究」。這門課將探討這兩個範疇的相關理論及主要研究取徑。
「跨文化研究」是近二十年來華文地區比較文學學界最為蓬勃發展的一個研究取向,希望透過這個部分,使學生以「跨文化」的角度,認識「比較文學」學科的相關理論、研究方法、議題及論證取徑,從而發展出結合學生研究範疇的跨文化論述可能。其中包括平行研究中的比較詩學、文類學、主題學,以及影響研究中的淵源學、流傳學、形象學、譯介學等面向。另外,在介紹「世界文學」研究取徑後,討論在比較文學理想中的「世界文學」視域下,如何透過這種「跨文化研究」取向轉化出新的理論和實踐。最後探討在研究方法上的「跨文化」所可能產生的問題。由於晚清至今是華文文學與文化,受日本、俄國、英美文化影響最為興盛的年代,除了部分涉及主題學及比較詩學的主題之外,本課程所探討的主要文本與討論面向,可同時呈現出中國現代文學史的一個切面。
「跨藝術研究」方面,則包括跨藝術文本、相關研究論述分析及理論介紹,透過文學與繪畫、雕塑、建築、景觀設計、攝影、電影、音樂、舞蹈等藝術類別的關係,以「圖像學」、「跨藝術互文」、「圖文互動」、「美學跨界表現」、「跨界轉譯」、「形式比較」等角度引導學生關注文學與其他藝術類別之間共通互融的面向,以及瞭解「比較文學」視域中「跨藝術研究」的可能面向與方法,同時引導學生接觸「跨藝術研究」的相關理論。
The main research fields and research methods of comparative literature can be divided into "cross-cultural research" and "cross-art research". This course will explore the relevant theories and main research approaches in these two areas.
"Cross-cultural studies" has been the most vigorously developed research orientation in the field of comparative literature in the Chinese-speaking area in the past two decades. It is hoped that through this part, students will understand the relevant theories, research methods, topics and argumentation approaches of the "comparative literature" discipline from a "cross-cultural" perspective, so as to develop the possibility of cross-cultural discussion that combines the students' research areas. These include comparative poetics, genre studies, and thematic studies in parallel studies, as well as origin studies, circulation studies, image studies, and translation studies in influence studies. In addition, after introducing the research approach of "world literature", it discusses how to transform new theories and practices through this "cross-cultural research" orientation from the perspective of "world literature" in the ideal of comparative literature. Finally, we discuss the problems that may arise from "cross-cultural" research methods. Since the late Qing Dynasty to the present is the most prosperous period for Chinese literature and culture, influenced by Japanese, Russian, British and American culture, in addition to some topics involving thematics and comparative poetics, the main texts and discussion aspects discussed in this course can simultaneously present an aspect of the history of modern Chinese literature.
"Cross-art research" includes cross-art texts, relevant research discussion analysis and theoretical introduction, through the relationship between literature and painting, sculpture, architecture, landscape design, photography, film, music, dance and other art categories, through "iconography", "cross-art intertext", "image-text interaction", "aesthetics" From the perspectives of "Cross-Border Expression", "Cross-Border Translation" and "Form Comparison", students are guided to pay attention to the common and mutual aspects between literature and other art categories, and to understand the possible aspects and methods of "Cross-Arts Research" in the perspective of "Comparative Literature", and at the same time, students are introduced to the relevant theories of "Cross-Arts Research".
