Sustainable Issues in Society

教育目標 Course Target

課程目標:
1.以社會領域為路徑引導學生「為萬世開太平」,了解當代社會及全球發展重要議題之宏觀視野,從在地到全球,提升學生國際視野並重視永續發展課題。(認知:包含基本知識、理解與分析能力)
2.具備團隊合作與解決真實問題之社會實踐能力。(技能)
3.培養學生從關懷社會出發,並可能產生積極社會實踐之行動能力。(行為)
4.尊重差異及承認差異,培養尊重多元價值、人權與審議民主精神,進而肯定自我及欣賞他人。(情意)
5.了解全球社會公平正義與環境永續發展的重要性,並建立現代公民責任感。(後設認知結果)
課程內涵:
以社會為議題,培養學生從日常生活實踐永續價值。現代公民應能意識對於社會、國家發展、國際事務等有敏銳觸覺及責任感,並基於自身倫理道德與法治精神,能自覺參與、貢獻及發展公共生活。其所形塑的意識與文化,是民主社會的寶貴資產,其彰顯民主、人權、平等、自由等根本良善理念。本課程希冀學生能以公民身份出發,人人能依自身專業進行社會參與,面對生活世界中的真實情境,進而解決實務問題,以促進社會永續發展之結果。因此,本課程為行動導向課程,在教學設計上以學生的行動導向為主,課堂講授為輔,強調學生在課堂內練習公共議題討論;課堂外進行社區接觸參訪及社會關懷之實踐,以期藉由課程設計能達成社會永續發展。

Course objectives:
1. Use the social field as a path to guide students to "create peace for all generations" and understand the macro perspective of important issues in contemporary society and global development, from local to global, enhance students' international perspective and pay attention to sustainable development issues. (Cognition: includes basic knowledge, understanding and analytical skills)
2. Have the social practice ability of teamwork and solving real problems. (skill)
3. Cultivate students' ability to act based on caring for society and to produce positive social practices. (behavior)
4. Respect and acknowledge differences, cultivate respect for diverse values, human rights and the spirit of deliberative democracy, thereby affirming oneself and appreciating others. (affection)
5. Understand the importance of global social fairness, justice and environmental sustainability, and establish a sense of modern citizen responsibility. (Metacognitive results)
Course content:
Taking social issues as an issue, we cultivate students to practice sustainable values in their daily lives. Modern citizens should be able to have a keen sense and sense of responsibility for society, national development, and international affairs, and be able to consciously participate in, contribute to, and develop public life based on their own ethics and the spirit of the rule of law. The consciousness and culture it shapes are valuable assets of a democratic society, embodying fundamental good concepts such as democracy, human rights, equality, and freedom. This course hopes that students can start as citizens and that everyone can participate in society according to their own majors, face real situations in the living world, and then solve practical problems to promote the sustainable development of society. Therefore, this course is an action-oriented course. The teaching design is mainly based on students' action orientation, and is supplemented by classroom lectures. It emphasizes that students practice discussing public issues in the classroom, and conduct community contact visits and social care practices outside the classroom, in order to achieve sustainable social development through curriculum design.
