Taking Gary Gutting's "Philosophical Intervention in Contemporary Issues" as an example, we will conduct more detailed training in philosophical methods.

Combining the two forms a course structure of "principles + applications", "theory + practice", and "public issues + philosophical tools".

本課程以哲學為核心，透過討論式教學引導學生探討人生、知識、價值與倫理等基本哲學議題。課程強調批判性思考、理性推論與多元觀點的交流，結合文本閱讀、小組討論與課堂分享，促進學生深度理解哲學概念並能應用於現實生活與社會議題。課後作業與反思亦將強化邏輯分析與表達能力，呼應博雅教育培養跨域思考與終身學習的核心目標。

This course takes philosophy as its core and uses discussion-based teaching to guide students to explore basic philosophical issues such as life, knowledge, values ​​and ethics. The course emphasizes critical thinking, rational inference and the exchange of multiple viewpoints. It combines text reading, group discussion and classroom sharing to promote students' in-depth understanding of philosophical concepts and their application to real life and social issues. After-class homework and reflection will also strengthen logical analysis and expression skills, echoing the core goal of liberal arts education to cultivate cross-disciplinary thinking and lifelong learning.
