本課程希望藉由初、中級華語文之學習，讓學習者能具備其基本生存語言及其相關溝通素養能力，並藉以瞭解台灣現今當下生活環境之社會概況及其文化特質，且同時探討華人相關文化意識。本課程強調：語言活用、生活實踐、適應環境、知識連貫、跨文化比較，以及認識台灣自然環境、台灣社會時事、台灣歷史發展，及其相關文化現象。最終，希冀本課程之設計，能引導學習者進行跨文化等相關議題之比較，以培養其獨立思考、群體互惠之素養能力，及其提升華語文之聽、說、讀、寫等相關能力。

This course hopes that through the study of elementary and intermediate Chinese language, learners can acquire the basic survival language and related communication literacy skills, and thereby understand the social profile and cultural characteristics of Taiwan's current living environment, and at the same time explore the relevant cultural awareness of the Chinese people. This course emphasizes: language usage, life practice, adapting to the environment, knowledge coherence, cross-cultural comparison, and understanding of Taiwan’s natural environment, Taiwan’s social current affairs, Taiwan’s historical development, and related cultural phenomena. Ultimately, it is hoped that the design of this course can guide learners to make comparisons on cross-cultural and other related issues, so as to cultivate their independent thinking and group reciprocity, and improve their Chinese listening, speaking, reading, writing and other related abilities.
