User Research and Interface Design

教育目標 Course Target

本課程旨在培養學生以使用者為中心進行分析與設計的能力,理解使用者需求、行為與互動情境,並將研究結果轉化為具體的介面設計決策。課程首先介紹常見的使用者研究方法,如訪談、問卷、觀察、人物誌、使用情境與任務分析,讓學生能規劃並執行小型研究,掌握資料蒐集與倫理注意事項;而後引導學生運用質性與量化分析技巧,如主題分析、需求整理、資訊架構規劃與使用流程設計,使學生能從資料中萃取洞察並建立合理的互動邏輯;最後學生將學習介面設計原則,並運用相關工具製作低至中階原型,以提升介面結構、視覺層次與互動品質。課程亦強調迭代與評估的重要性,學生將實際規劃可用性測試、分析問題並改善設計。同時介紹生成式 AI 在研究與介面開發中的應用,以提升學生的創意與效率;整體而言,本課程協助學生建立研究驅動之介面設計能力,並能在跨領域團隊中有效溝通與實作。

This course aims to cultivate students' ability to conduct user-centered analysis and design, understand user needs, behaviors and interaction situations, and transform research results into specific interface design decisions. The course first introduces common user research methods, such as interviews, questionnaires, observations, personas, usage scenarios and task analysis, allowing students to plan and execute small-scale research, and master data collection and ethical considerations; it then guides students to use qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques, such as thematic analysis. Analysis, requirements sorting, information architecture planning and usage process design enable students to extract insights from data and establish reasonable interaction logic; finally, students will learn interface design principles and use relevant tools to create low-to-intermediate prototypes to improve the interface structure, visual hierarchy and interaction quality. The course also emphasizes the importance of iteration and evaluation, and students will actually plan usability tests, analyze problems, and improve designs. It also introduces the application of generative AI in research and interface development to enhance students' creativity and efficiency. Overall, this course helps students build research-driven interface design capabilities and enable effective communication and implementation in cross-disciplinary teams.
