Social Problems and Social Work
教育目標 Course Target
本課程的目的旨在使學生瞭解社會問題與社會工作之間的關係,具體如下:
1. 使認識與社會工作相關的社會現象及其所產生的社會問題
2. 培養具有解決社會問題所需的敏銳觀察能力、批判性的分析能力、客觀性的理解能力,以及策略性的問題解決能力
3. 促使具備深層瞭解微觀(個人、家庭)、中間觀(組織、社區)與巨觀(制度、構造、社會整體等)因素相互影響的社會問題及其相對應的社會工作
4. 引領學生具備深度探索「最接近客觀事實」的真相之能力,以期務實地解決社會問題
以上的教學目標及內涵,將於本課程中,主要以「電影賞析」與日本社會問題的「翻譯書籍閱讀、反思」之教學方式,使學生瞭解社會問題的基本成因,並引發對台灣社會問題之關注。然後,將引導學生應用所學過的社會工作概論之基礎知識,以「小組討論」的方式,思考如何解決與社會工作相關的社會問題之方法。
The purpose of this course is to enable students to understand the relationship between social issues and social work, as follows:
1. Understand the social phenomena related to social work and the social problems they generate
2. Cultivate the keen observation skills, critical analysis skills, objective understanding skills, and strategic problem-solving skills required to solve social problems.
3. Promote a deep understanding of social issues and corresponding social work that interact with micro (individuals, families), meso (organizations, communities) and macro (systems, structures, society as a whole, etc.) factors.
4. Lead students to have the ability to deeply explore the truth "closest to objective facts" in order to pragmatically solve social problems
The above teaching objectives and connotations will be used in this course, mainly through the teaching methods of "movie appreciation" and "translated book reading and reflection" on Japanese social issues, so that students can understand the basic causes of social problems and draw attention to Taiwanese social issues. Then, students will be guided to apply the basic knowledge they have learned about the introduction to social work and use "group discussion" to think about how to solve social problems related to social work.
課程概述 Course Description
社會問題的本質是「社會的」,也是「問題的」,本課程從鉅視面思考,希望能協助學生懂得如何對台灣社會問題有「事實瞭解」,基於理論有「原因分析」,並且偏重社會工作部分「實際面對」。
課程看重結構性的社會問題,掌握這一點是進行社會問題認識和分析的第一個起點。本課程對於「社會問題」的部分有四個核心問題需要討論:第一,什麼是社會問題?第二,是什麼將一個問題變成「社會(性)問題」?第三,社會問題的成因是什麼?第四,針對社會問題,人們可以有何作為?社會工作則是著重在瞭解社會問題之後如何應用社會工作知能和方法於各個實務工作場域。
因此,培養學生敏銳觀察分析社會問題的能力及學習將之運用於社會工作實務上,是本課程的期許和目標。
The essence of social problems is "social" and "problematic." This course thinks from a macro perspective and hopes to help students understand how to have a "factual understanding" of Taiwan's social problems, conduct "cause analysis" based on theory, and focus on the "practical confrontation" part of social work.
The course focuses on structural social issues, and mastering this is the first starting point for understanding and analyzing social issues. There are four core issues that need to be discussed in the "Social Issues" part of this course: First, what are social issues? Second, what turns a problem into a "social (sexual) problem"? Third, what are the causes of social problems? Fourth, what can people do to address social problems? Social work focuses on how to apply social work knowledge and methods to various practical work fields after understanding social problems.
Therefore, it is the expectation and goal of this course to cultivate students' ability to keenly observe and analyze social problems and learn to apply them in social work practice.
