一、課程簡介
性別社會學/性別研究是一門跨領域學習的有趣學科，這個研究領域與我們日常生活大小事非常相關。西蒙・波娃曾說到：「女人不是天生的，而是變成的」來挑戰性別秩序形塑的兩性「天生說」。同志理論家巴特勒說到「性別是展演出來的」，她說到社會秩序與規範如何不斷的形塑我們個人日常生活的習慣與身體感知。而一整套性別體系對我們的價值觀形塑，經常出現在你我所不經意之處、在我們的好惡情緒、在眼睛所見之外，人們很不經意的就排除了女性（包括原住民女性、女工、女科學家等）或各類LGBTQ性少數族群。

早期女性主義者對於父權社會結構的反省，如今已經演變為更多元、複雜的問題化。本課程以老師帶領同學進行「讀書會」形式進行，本學期以日本教授上野千鶴子的出版書籍為主要讀本，介紹並討論與性別有關的各類有趣主題。本課程也會介紹台灣與國際性別主流化的政策趨勢，讓同學未來在工作上可運用性別法律與政策，訓練性別種子師資。課程中，請同學以自己的生活經驗與觀察，給與性別主題新的內容與挑戰。

1. Course Introduction
Sociology of Gender/Gender Studies is an interesting interdisciplinary field of study that is very relevant to our daily lives. Simone de Beauvoir once said: "Women are not born, they become" to challenge the "innate theory" of both sexes shaped by the gender order. Gay theorist Butler said that "gender is performed," and she talked about how social orders and norms continue to shape our personal daily habits and body perceptions. And a whole set of gender systems shape our values, which often appear in places where you and I don’t expect it, in our likes and dislikes, and beyond what we see with our eyes. People inadvertently exclude women (including indigenous women, female workers, female scientists, etc.) or various LGBTQ sexual minorities.

Early feminists' reflections on patriarchal social structures have now evolved into more diverse and complex problematizations. This course is conducted in the form of a "book club" led by the teacher. This semester, the books published by Japanese professor Ueno Chizuko are used as the main reading materials to introduce and discuss various interesting topics related to gender. This course will also introduce the policy trends of gender mainstreaming in Taiwan and internationally, so that students can apply gender laws and policies in their future work and train gender-seed teachers. During the course, students are asked to use their own life experiences and observations to give new content and challenges to the gender theme.
