教育目標 Course Target

本課程旨在引導學生理解並實作社會學量化研究的完整研究流程,重點不在於零散方法的介紹,而在於培養學生將研究問題轉化為可操作研究設計的能力。課程核心聚焦於三個相互連結的面向:抽樣過程、資料分析與研究報告撰寫。

在抽樣部分,課程將說明不同抽樣方法的邏輯與適用條件,並討論抽樣設計如何影響研究推論的範圍與有效性,使學生理解樣本如何連結到母體,以及抽樣誤差在研究中的意義。在資料分析部分,課程將引導學生依據研究問題與資料特性,選擇適切的分析策略,並強調分析結果的解讀與限制,而非僅止於統計技術本身。

在研究報告撰寫方面,課程將著重於量化研究中研究設計、分析結果與理論論證之間的連結,訓練學生以清楚、有邏輯且符合學術規範的方式呈現研究成果。透過整合抽樣、分析與寫作三個環節,本課程期望協助學生建立對社會研究方法的整體理解,並為後續進階研究或論文寫作奠定基礎。

This course aims to guide students to understand and implement the complete research process of quantitative research in sociology. The focus is not on the introduction of fragmented methods, but on cultivating students' ability to transform research questions into operational research designs. The core of the course focuses on three interconnected aspects: sampling process, data analysis and research report writing.

In the sampling part, the course will explain the logic and applicable conditions of different sampling methods, and discuss how sampling design affects the scope and validity of research inferences, allowing students to understand how the sample is connected to the population and the significance of sampling error in research. In the data analysis part, the course will guide students to choose appropriate analysis strategies based on the research questions and data characteristics, and emphasize the interpretation and limitations of the analysis results, rather than just the statistical techniques themselves.

In terms of research report writing, the course will focus on the connection between research design, analytical results and theoretical argumentation in quantitative research, training students to present research results in a clear, logical and academically standardized manner. By integrating the three links of sampling, analysis and writing, this course hopes to help students establish an overall understanding of social research methods and lay the foundation for subsequent advanced research or thesis writing.
