東海大學政治學系近年積極推動「傳播學程」，希望培養具備跨領域視野的學生。本課程的設計，正回應政治與傳播學交會的趨勢：在民主政治與公共治理中，傳播策略已成為影響決策與公共信任的關鍵；在企業與組織領域，危機管理更是維繫聲譽與存續的核心能力。

放眼國際，無論是 美國的哈佛大學 Kennedy School、英國的 LSE（倫敦政經學院），或是 新加坡國立大學（NUS）公共政策學院，都已在政治與傳播學院中開設「策略傳播」「危機管理」「政治溝通」等相關課程。東海開設此課，象徵著將政治學、傳播學與實務治理結合，提升學生的國際競爭力與實務應用能力。

The Department of Political Science at Tunghai University has actively promoted the "Communication Program" in recent years, hoping to cultivate students with cross-field perspectives. The design of this course is in response to the trend of the intersection of politics and communication: in democratic politics and public governance, communication strategies have become the key to influencing decision-making and public trust; in the field of enterprises and organizations, crisis management is the core ability to maintain reputation and survival.

Looking internationally, whether it is Harvard University Kennedy School in the United States, LSE (London School of Economics) in the United Kingdom, or the School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore (NUS), relevant courses such as "Strategic Communication", "Crisis Management" and "Political Communication" have been launched in the School of Politics and Communication. Donghai’s offering of this course symbolizes the integration of political science, communication studies and practical governance to enhance students’ international competitiveness and practical application capabilities.
